Company Policy

Age Verification/ proof of ID or direct contact via telephone to confirm age.
We use sophisticated fraud checks to confirm that the cardholder has placed the order which also confirms age of purchaser without us needing to contact the customer directly. Please be aware that falsifying our age declaration on the order form is a serious legal offence and should we determine you are under legal age to purchase items from this site at any time, we will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.

Delivery Times
Swords – Typically 2-3 days from order for in stock items, you will receive an order confirmation when you place the order, a processed receipt within 24-48 hrs and a despatched email with your tracking number the moment your order has left our warehouse. Please norte that at busy times or when we have had a large delivery, our standard delivery time can be affected by a few days so you should allow 7 working days for delivery, if you need your items in a hurry then please use the next day option to avoid dissapointment.

Knives – Typically 3-5 days from order as Royal Mail collect twice a week from the warehouse. If you pay by cheque then delivery will be around 10-12 days.

FAULTS/RETURNS
Damage/Fault/Loss – In the highly unlikely event that the item should be damaged or lost in transit to you. You are covered for a free replacement or refund less return postage providing the following criteria are followed.
1. Where goods have been delivered, you must keep hold of packaging/goods in case they need to be inspected by Parcelforce.
2. Do not attempt to use the item
3. Contact us as soon as possible, to make things easier you can log in to your account and file a damaged goods form.

Damage must be reported within 7 days after receipt of goods and loss within 20 days or claims will not be processed by the shipping companies. Please do not return goods without first contacting us for instructions, to do so would void postage refund. You must include your order number with any return so we can trace it back to you.

Returns/cancellations – We only sell items that meet our high standards for both workmanship and value for money. If you don’t like your item just let us know and we will sort out a refund or replacement for you, whichever you prefer. We can pickup swords at your convenience. Small Items and some swords will need to be returned by Royal Mail. All returns must be made within 15 days (to the address at the bottom of this page). Returns are at your risk and should be sent insured. Refunds will be less postage to you, return costs and credit card transaction charges (no more than 5% of order total. Item/s must reach us in the same condition they left with original box/packaging. If they should arrive here damaged an insurance claim will need to be filed so please keep the receipt.
If you decide to cancel your order before it leaves the warehouse there is normally no charge, however if you cancel after your card has been charged this will result in a 5% transaction charge which we don’t charge until just before despatch.

Returns of Body Jewellery – Body jewellery will only be accepted as a return if the item is damaged or faulty on arrival. This is due to health and safety and no exceptions will be made to this rule.

Custom Made Items – Unfortunately custom made items are excluded from our cancellation/returns policy, however, where a problem exists we will work with the customer to the best of our ability to resolve any problem.

Guarantee – Most items on the site carry a 12 month guarantee against defective workmanship or software failure. Should you experience a problem with your item please contact us and we will contact the appropriate manufacturers/wholesalers on your behalf. Most manufacturers have a ‘usage policy’ which determines what is and is not covered, for instance, damage resulting from incorrect use would not be covered.

Anti-Fraud Protection- As we genereally only ship on pre-payment basis it is unusual but Where a situation has arisen where a customer has an outstanding balance payable but has not paid and we have been unable to collect monies from the customer within a 30 day timescale, the debt will be passed onto a debt collection agency which will incur a late payment charge payable direct to said company, at this time that company is Direct Route Insight Ltd

Should an order be returned to us by parcelforce we will resend or refund the order less postage based on recipients instructions
When placing an order on this site you will receive an automated order confirmation to confirm we have received your order, however, Blades UK has not accepted your order until such time as we begin processing your order (i.e. when you have been charged).

1. The Definition of ‘Quote’ is the full price you would be paying to have the item/s delivered to your door, all costs inclusive, not the item price as these are often subject to hidden costs.
2. Must be for the same product from the same manufacturer and in the same condition (brand new).
3. The offer is subject to the same purchase conditions as the other retailer.
4. Only UK sites selling goods from within the U.K 5. The offer is completed at the time of sale.
