The latest from the Tony Long forge in China. Full tang construction with a high carbon 1060 tempered steel blade,fully functional with a genuine hamon.
Can cut through thick bamboo with one stroke!Blade: 27.25” long (excluding the habaki), 1.25” wide at the base, 5/16” thick at the base. 1060 steel that is hand forged and differentially tempered using the traditional methods of folding low carbon steel around a core of high carbon steel – the low carbon steel provides shock absorption and flexibility, while the high carbon steel provides edge retention. This blade is fully functional and well suited to any form of practice, including tameshigiri.
Handle: 10.75” Hardwood with genuine ray skin(same), a brass menuki on either side, and black cotton wrap. The handle has two angled pins (angled pins anchor the handle more securely than straight pins) and the sword can be disassembled.

Saya: Hardwood with heavy black lacquer.
Fittings and furniture: Solid brass and copper.
